  8. Trekkie is a database, that offers the possibility to manage all the
  9. Star Trek episodes.
  10. Apart from collecting the usual data such as Episodetitle, -number, Stardate
  11. and so on, it facilitates to build a kind of "Who is Who" by managing
  12. the "Maker"-information.
  13. Moreover there is a - admittedly simple - video database included.
  14.  
  15. The program requires Kickstart/Workbench 3.0.
  16. For reasonable speed you should at the very least have a 68020 CPU.
  17. A complete datafile may easily make the program to require 2MB and more
  18. RAM at runtime.

  20. Look out for the latest version of a datafile on the Aminet under
  21. biz/dbase/TrekkieData.lha or at Trekkie's homepage (see below).

  125.            would get a crash when you moved that same entry again into

  141.           -started to seriously thinking about giving Trekkie a
  142.            LCARS interface what do you think?
  143.  11.02.96 -I decided to release Trekkie again, because the new
  144.            version is needed for the datafile.
  145.           -Trekkie now runs on an 68000 processor. Not that it would make
  146.            much sense to use the program on an Amiga 500 with 7Mhz.
  147.            But since I have discovered that with UAE, the Un*x Amiga 
  148.            Emulator, you can sort of use Trekkie on a WinDoze PC
  149.            (provided you have a really faaaaast processor) I thought it 
  150.            couldn't hurt.

  153.  28.02.97 -In preparation for my private Trekkie CD (which unfortenately
  154.            I can't release publically for copyright reasons )I needed a 
  155.            possibility to add Quicktime Movies with Trekkie. Since I
  156.        never used texts I just replaced texts by movies. 
  157.           -In the Listmode the existance of attached files  can be
  158.            specified as seperate item in the Listmask definition.
  159.  03.03.97 -In exchange for that the episode description now allows up
  160.            to 5000 characters, now using an external editor.
  161.           -On the way I reduced the minimum height of Trekkies screen from
  162.            410 to 400.
  163.           -Also in preparation for the CD Trekkie now uses a seperate
  164.        prefs file instead of saving to the tooltypes.
  165.           -Fixed some serious Enforcer hits, that where caused by the
  166.            part of the program that were created by my Guibuilder
  167.            GadEd V2.01 (forget that program!) - thanx to Thomas Boerkel
  168.            for reporting this.
  169.           -Version 2.7beta1
  170.  13.03.97 -added cursor navigation with keybord in listmode.
  171.  01.04.97 -fixed small bug that occured when reading the story descriptions 
  172.            from the external editor (eol wasn't handled correctly)
